Menton Majolica Lemons Centrepiece Bowl

Victorian, circa 1880. 10.2ins high, 19.3ins wide, 9.8ins depth. Menton Majolica centrepiece bowl which features lemon tree branches, leaves and blossom.

Colouration: cobalt blue, turquoise, green, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Menton pottery.

Condition

CONDITION: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior and exterior of bowl.

RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched two hairlines to rim.

Remodelled seven missing petals.

Retouched chips and flakes to leaves and petals.
