Victorian, circa 1880. 6.3ins high, 6.1ins wide, 4.5ins depth.

George Jones Majolica pot and cover which features snails and insects on a wooden log-effect ground.

Colouration: brown, pink, green, are predominant.

Bears a pattern number, '1825'.

Condition

CONDITION: Cover: Good.

Bruise to tip of finial.

Small flake to inner rim.

RESTORATION. Finial reglued and joins retouched.

Pot: Good.

Slight wear to exterior.

KILN EFFECTS: two touch marks to the lower base edge;

glaze run in places.

RESTORATION. Filled chips and retouched flakes to inner and outer rim.
