
Victorian, circa 1871. 10.2ins high, 19.7ins wide, 16.5ins depth. Minton Majolica jardinière which features two snakes with their tails
entwined forming the handles.
Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: pink, ochre, cobalt blue, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '532'.
Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.
CONDITION: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the snakes.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to foot rim
and one to rim.
Retouched flaking to cobalt ground.
