George Jones Chrysanthemums Jardinere

Victorian, circa 1884. 12.2ins high, 13.8ins wide, 13.8ins depth. George Jones & Sons Majolica jardinière which features chrysanthemums to the ground and three handles.

Colouration: cobalt blue, turquoise, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones & Sons pottery. Bears a pattern number, '528 J'. Book reference ,'George Jones Ceramics 1861-1951' by Robert Cluett, page 71, figure 135.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Some small flakes to feet and ground.

KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the feet.

RESTORATION. Section of rim reglued and join retouched.

Stabilised and retouched crack to rim.

Filled chip to rim.

Retouched flakes to rim, handles and top border.
