WMF fairy inkwell & tray

Circa 1909. 7.5ins by 7ins wide.

WMF inkwell and tray decorated in relief with a naked fairy with flowers in her long, flowing hair.





Inkwell on the side with hinged lid and removable original glass well.





Two small feet to reverse with embossed catalogue number '232'.





Impressed maker's marks to reverse of ink well 'WMF' ostrich mark, 'B' - Britannia metal, a tin/antinomy alloy, 'OX' - oxidised and '13'.



Illustrated on page 285, catalogue number 232, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.

Condition

Good. No repairs.

Wear and rubbing to both sides.











Some light scratches to interior of tray.



Hinged lid is in good working order.
