Staffordshire sailor holding flag & lass figure
Victorian, circa 1860. 8ins high. Staffordshire figure of a sailor standing holding a flag, with a small barrel beside him. His lass is sat on the other side with the ribbon from her hat over her wrist. Dull gilt decoration and base line.

Vent hole and a painted mark to underside.
No book reference found.
Condition
Generally good. No restoration. No cracks. Hairline along the mold join, over the girl's head and onto reverse.
No chips. Very minor paint loss to hat ribbon.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
Kiln effect: firing pit to reverse of base.
