Staffordshire spaniel with pups inkwell

Victorian, circa 1860. 5.25ins high. Staffordshire inkwell modeled as a spaniel with two pups.

The adult dog carries a basket of flowers in it's mouth. Cobalt base with two quill holes. Dull gilt decoration and base line.





Painted mark to underside.

Condition

Good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips.

Slight wear to the cobalt base.





Some rubbing to gilt.



Kiln effect: stray cobalt glaze to the reverse.



Retouching to nose and left ear of the adult dog.
