Majolica ribbon in basket plate

Victorian, circa 1880. 6.75ins diameter.

Majolica plate decorated with ribbons and flowers on a turquoise basket weave ground with yellow border.

Mottled brown and green reverse with three stilt marks.

Painted mark inside the foot.

Condition

Generally good. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips.

Some minor flaking to rim.

Kiln effects: piece of kiln detritus to flower;

slight staining to the front.

Restored rim chip.
