Needlework 'Sampler' Postage stamp holder. The holder has an outer case with verses and an inner case with initials. The outer holder is worked in purple silk on perforated paper. Verse reads, 'To guard her head> From dust and damps> This case is made> For postage stamps> England's letters> Find no grace> Unless they bear> Victoria's face'. The inner case is signed 'F.B' (presumably the stitcher) and, 'V R', for Victoria Regina.
Very Good. Any fading, hole, stain, defect or stitch loss, if present, is very minor and in no way detracting.
