Description:

Antique Charles II Silkwork Embroidery picture of a couple. Framed in an old wooden frame with glass. Stitched to card. The embroidery is very finely worked in a variety of silks on a silk ground, in a variety of stitches. Colours cream, blue, red, yellow, green, brown and grey. Features two figures standing in a landscape, a castle in the background. Deep relief laurel surround with floral motifs to the spandrels.

Generally Good. Any fading, holes, stains, defects or stitch losses, when present, is not overly detracting.
