Staffordshire Pottery pearlware bocage group with a religious theme which features Jesus Christ on the cross with Mary and Saint John below, stood on a shaped base. The piece is titled, 'INRI' . Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Open bottomed. This piece represents the Crucifixion of Christ. The title, 'INRI', represents the Latin inscription which in English reads as "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews".
Generally Good. Any damage, wear, original manufacturing defects (kiln effects) or restoration, when present, is not overly detracting.
