Pair of Staffordshire glass eyed figures which feature a spaniel, seated on a tasselled cushion base. We think they have possibly been matched up together at some stage because they are of different colouration, however we feel they go together very well. Bright gilt embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent holes to reverse and underside. Book reference ,'A-Z of Staffordshire Dogs, A Potted History', by Clive Mason Pope, page 107, figure 59.
Good. Any damage, wear, original manufacturing defects (kiln effects) or restoration that may be present, is minor and not detracting.
