Minton Majolica centrepiece bowl which features two mermaids supporting a large shell, with seaweed to the base. Colouration: turquoise, brown, cream, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1182'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.
