Staffordshire Pearlware musicians bocage group

Period: pre-Victorian, circa 1820
Description: Staffordshire pearlware bocage group with a musical theme which features a couple playing musical instruments, stood on a square base. Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside. Book reference not found.
Condition: Good. Small chip to lower base edge and some to bocage. Some small flakes to her bonnet, nose, hands and base edges. A few paint losses to ground. RESTORATION. Tip of lute and sections of trumpet remodelled. Retouched chips and flakes to bocage and base.
Dimensions: 7.7ins high, 3.9ins wide, 3.4ins depth
