Description: Staffordshire figure with a political theme which features Wellington in a chair, seated on a rectangular base. The piece is titled, 'Wellington'. Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt title and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse. Book reference,'Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875' Book 1, by A.& N. Harding, page 144, figure 364.
Condition: Good. A few paint losses to red trim on chair. Some rubbing to gilt. RESTORATION. Head reglued and join retouched. Retouching to right shoe, left hand and arm, and right eye.
Dimensions: 12ins high, 4.9ins wide, 6.7ins depth
