Period: Victorian, circa 1860
Description: Staffordshire figure which features a lady carrying a basket of game, with her cat at her side, stood on a shaped base. Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside. Book reference not found.
Condition: Good. No restoration. Bruise to her dress with associated chip and flakes. A few paint losses to cat's markings and her dress. Slight rubbing to gilt. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the cobalt blue glaze; small firing pit to her bonnet; flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse.
Dimensions: 6.9ins high, 3ins wide, 1.8ins depth
