| Staffordshire figure which features a highland girl with whippet, kennel and bird, stood on an oval base. Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside. Book reference not found. |
| Good. Small flake to lower base edge at front. Some paint losses to the ground. Rubbing to gilt. KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to skirt; firing crack to underside, running up the base front; firing hole to dog's body; kiln soot caught in the glaze; small firing pits to dog's muzzle and the ground; over glazed chip to upper base edge at front; stray coloured glaze to the kennel. RESTORATION: retouched paint losses to hair, shoes and skirt. |
