| Condition: | Female: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the dog and one to underside; flecks of stray cobalt glaze and a few touch marks to the reverse. RESTORATION. Retouching to ground, hat brim and dog's ears. Stabilized and retouched hairline to neck. Male: Good. KILN EFFECTS: a few firing holes to reverse and boy's cheek; craze lines to dog,hat and reverse; flecks of stray coloured glaze to his boy's leg and to bird; shrinkage crack to the underside; kiln grit caught in the glaze to the base. RESTORATION. Stabilized and retouched hairline to dog. Retouching to hair, ground and dog's ears and nose. Filled chips to dog and hat brim. |
