| Condition: | Right facing: Generally good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze pops to the upper base and base rim; glaze accumulation to the base at reverse; notable crazing (more pronounced than other dog). RESTORATION: Retouched flakes to russet markings. Retouched flakes to bridge of nose and top of spaniel's left ear. Filled chips to inside of base edge. Left facing: Generally good. Some wear to dog's head and base. Slight rubbing to gilt. KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the dog's back and base; small firing pits to spaniel's left ear and muzzle. RESTORATION: Retouched flakes to dog's face and base. Retouched flakes to russet markings. Stabilised and retouched hairline to right front ankle. Filled chips to base edge. |
