Staffordshire Leopard spill vase

Period: Victorian, circa 1860
Description: Staffordshire figure which features a leopard, stood on a shaped base. Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line. Decorated mainly to the front. Book reference,'Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875' Book 2, by A.& N. Harding, page 257, figure 3004.
Condition: Good. Small chips to shredded clay. A few paint losses to leopard's body, markings, one paw and muzzle. Slight rubbing to gilt. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line along the mold join to his head and side of neck. RESTORATION: Filled chip to right ear.
Dimensions: 6.3ins high, 4.5ins wide, 1.8ins depth
