Staffordshire hen on nest tureen

Description: Staffordshire egg tureen and cover which features a hen sitting with her eggs, seated on an oval basketweave tureen base. Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Book reference not found.
Condition: Hen: Good. A few paint losses to feathers. RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to comb, wattle, beak and feathers. Nest: Good. Some small flakes to the exterior. KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application in places. RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to side of the nest (not visible when upright).
Dimensions: 7.9ins high, 9.4ins wide, 7.5ins depth
