Alcock Staffordshire sheep figure

Description: Alcock Staffordshire porcellaneous figure with a pastoral theme which features a sheep, recumbent on a rock shaped base. White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Maker's marks to the underside. Book reference not found.
Condition: Good. No restoration. Very small chip to tip of sheep's right ear. Minor abrasion to sheep's nose. Some rubbing to gilt. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line to the reverse.
Dimensions: 2.2ins high, 2.8ins wide, 2ins depth
