|Description:||Staffordshire figure which features an elephant, stood on an oval base. Black version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside. Maker's marks painted to the underside. Book reference not found.|
|Condition:||Generally good. Small flake to rump and right front leg. Slight wear and scratching to the elephant. KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing to base and a few lines to the elephant; a glaze miss to the elephant waist and a few to the lower base edge; flecks of stray coloured glaze to the base rim. RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to the green ground. Old restored chip to lower base edge.|
