Staffordshire boy & girl playing rounders

Period: Victorian, circa 1890
Description: Staffordshire figure group depicting a blonde boy and girl standing on a naturalistic base, the girl carrying a rounders bat and ball. Vent hole to reverse.
Condition: Generally good. No restoration. No hairlines. No chips. Some flaking to boy's hat and tunic, girl's nose and right hand. A few paint losses to girl's hair and the ground. Bruise to reverse. Kiln effect: shrinkage crack to right side of boy's head. Some staining to underneath of base and reverse. Glaze run to the front of the base.
