Description: Pair Staffordshire seated cat figures. Cream glazed bodies with bright gilt facial detail. Small vent hole to underside. Similar pair illustrated figure 4594, page 159, Schiffer's 'Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1875-1892' by A.& N. Harding.
Condition: Good. Rubbing to gilt. Right facing: Some wear to reverse. Kiln effect: staining to reverse of head. Repaired hairline to neck. Left facing: Kiln effects: two shrinkage cracks to underside; slight staining to reverse of head, chest and tail. Repaired hairline to neck. Restored chip to left ear.
