Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre Pillar Vase

Circa 1920. 14ins high. Wedgwood Fairyland lustre vase, shape 2409.









'Pillar' pattern to the exterior, depicting the view from a fairy Queen's palace, out over garden terraces, verandahs and pavilions.









Persian-Celtic border around the base edge.



Mother of pearl to neck interior with fairies and leaves around the inside rim.







Maker's marks include printed Wedgwood 'Portland Vase', painted pattern number 'Z4968' and inscribed shape number '2409' to base.

Condition

Very good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips.

Slight rubbing to the gilt in places.



Rubbing to the neck from handling, all fully illustrated.





Kiln effect: small touch mark to the base edge.
