Pair Staffordshire 'chunky' white & gilt spaniels

Large Pair Staffordshire seated white and gilt 'chunky' spaniels. Nice deep moldings, bright gilt collars, lockets and coat flecks. Vent hole to bases, good creamy glaze. Similar dog illustrated figure a2469A, a2469B page 243, Schiffer's 'Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875' Book 3, by A.& N. Harding. CONDITION: Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Enamels to faces are faded. Gilt slightly rubbed. Kiln effects: a few over glazed shrinkage lines to both, staining to reverse of right facing spaniel's head. A piece of kiln detritus inside right facing causing it to rattle.
