Set of three gradated George Jones Majolica wheat pitchers. White ground decorated with wheat ears and leaves rising up between a row of larger stiff leaves. Ochre rope effect around rim, foot rim and brown handle. Mauve interiors and bases. Three stilt marks and painted pattern number '2285' to bases. Good crisp molding and colors. A great set. CONDITION: Generally good. No restoration. Three hairlines to rim of small pitcher. No chips. Minor flaking to rims of all three, sides of medium and small pitchers, and handle of large pitcher. Kiln effect: pieces of kiln detritus to sides of medium and large pitchers, and a piece to the inside of medium pitcher.
