George Jones Majolica cheese dome & stand

George Jones Majolica cheese keep which features cherry blossoms. Cobalt blue ground version. Colouration: brown, green, pink, are predominant. The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3240 D'. Book reference not found.. CONDITION: Dome: Generally good. Some small flakes to the leaves and blossoms. KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to one of the branches leading from the handle. RESTORATION. Two stabilized and retouched cracks run all the way up the side and across the top of the dome. Base: Generally good. No restoration. Flakes and paint losses to the rims. Staining from use.
