Staffordshire Punch & dog figure

Staffordshire figure of Punch and his dog 'Toby', modeled seated on a pile of books, upon a decorative base. Good molding. Bright gilt decoration. Good creamy glaze. Two vent holes to reverse and one underneath. Similar piece illustrated figure 1025, page 281, Schiffer's 'Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835-1875' Book 1, by A.& N. Harding.. CONDITION: Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. No flakes. Gilt rubbed. Kiln effects: glaze accumulation to foot rim. A few craters and very minor kiln soot caught in the glaze. Some crazing.
