WMF easel mirror. Sleek, minimalist, secessionist-style lines and motifs. Pierced edges. Original mirror, and wooden backing with original easel. Maker's marks impressed to the underside of cartouche - 'WMF', 'EP' - Electro-plated, 'I/O' - normal thickness of plating/gilding, and 'OX' - Oxidised. Embossed catalogue number '120' to reverse. Similar piece illustrated on page 295, 'Art Nouveau Domestic Design from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik' published by the 'Antique Collectors Club'.. CONDITION: Generally good. A few kinks in the frame. Top point of the mirror is slightly bent with a small split, but is completely stable. Some scratches, wear and tarnishing to the plating (which is almost completely rubbed away). The wooden backing is slightly split behind two of the screws, and has a few chips to the feet. One branch of the easel is bent, but still stable.
